Okay, so I ran in to a friend of mine at the video store earlier this evening. She congratulated me on my job - I replied with, "Ya, well it's easy and the $$'s good". She replied, "Ya, it must be nice to have the stability again - to be able to go to the dentist - those things are important." - Wow. Ya, my job is... ok. The people are... ok." They seem to have really liked the old girl, but now she's gone and I'm there and I'm gonna grow on them. And OF COURSE the girl at Butler's Pantry asked me for my # today so she can hire me IF they're hiring next week - Great. And OF COURSE I get called for set, and an audition on the same day - Whatever... like I really want to be in the Velvatine Rabbit... ya... does anyone undersatnd why life seems to work this way?
I spent the day with my Mother - After spending a night with my *guy*, I came home, cleaned house and anxiosly awaited my Mother's arrival for out Saturday. She rang the bell, I answered the door, she assesed my outfit - and our day begins.
We walked to Butler's, she threatened to sit down before the waiter had a chance to clear the tables - we sat, the waiter was a little late with the salad dressing, but that was ok. We ate beside this guy I met on set over a year ago - ya see, he was a real hunk, my friend told him I thought so and we made eyes at eachother for the rest of the day. Today I sat and watched him make eyes at his girlfriend.
We went to PHARMAKON.
As we walked along the slippery sidealk, we discussed the possibillities of the day - Value Village? Sherway? Cloverdale? House hunting in the O.D?, Swiss Chalet?
Because of a unmentionable reason, we were late getting to Mystic River - let the record show it was the Mother's fault. We should've booted it past that lady in the wheelchair. Angry refund time.
Because of our late beginning, dinner was also off, so we went to Winner's, I tried on some GREAT jeans, but did not purchase them at the begging and pleading of Mother.
We went to Rogers - ran in to that friend - and headed to Loons for a couple rounds of cold ones and some pita & hummus. Went by the theatre for popcorn and headed home for the fil-im.
I knitted an ENTIRE hat while I got a FULL-ON LR - see, the trick is to distract them with such things as a good movie, or fil-im.
Now I am at home listening to Bishop Allen, wearing comfy pants, and thinkin' life is pretty neat right now... whatever.
G'night.
